Hand Filling
Cartridges filled by hand by trained laboratory staff — a flexible route for custom formulations and smaller production runs.
Two-chamber cartridges that keep a lyophilized peptide and bacteriostatic water separate until they are mixed.
A center stopper divides the cartridge into two chambers. The peptide solution is filled into one chamber and freeze-dried in the lyophilizer; after capping, the second chamber is filled with bacteriostatic water. The peptide stays dry until the two chambers are mixed.
Stoppers are loaded, ready to go into the cartridges.
A center stopper is placed to divide each cartridge into two chambers.
The peptide solution is filled into the cartridge's peptide chamber.
Cartridges are loaded into the lyophilizer to freeze-dry the peptide.
After freeze-drying, the cartridges are unloaded with the peptide in dry form.
Metal caps are placed on the cartridges.
The second chamber is filled with bacteriostatic water.
